twitter why do you keep telling me i need to confirm my new email. you even said it has already been confirmed, but you keep asking me to

Who Am I?

A Keener. And previously the second-most-active poster in the new PCKF.
Due to recent inactivity, CommanderSpleen and Tulip have passed me.

What Do I Do?

In Keen Land, I like to make levels and modding utilities. The few times I've tried making graphics have ended very badly and required a hard drive format and expensive therapy. (hint: they were really bad) So I don't think I'll be making a full-fledged mod any time soon.

When Did I Keen?

I played Commander Keen from as early as I can remember until probably '98 or '99. I rediscovered Keen in 2002 after getting my grandmother's old Windows 3.1 computer (which I ran in DOS 90% of the time). The years since then have seen lulls and bursts of posting, including a year-and-a-half posting lull from June 2005 to December 2006 (although I did pop by and read posts a few times) and another long one in 2009.

When Did I Join Stuff?

  • PCKF - September 7, 2003 (ezBoard) / November 1, 2007 (phpBB)
  • K:M - October 14, 2003
  • KeenWiki - January 30, 2007

I also read the messageboard a little bit back in the InsideTheWeb days. I'm not sure how old I would have been then. Eleven? Twelve? Anyone know when the PCKF switched to ezBoard?

So not an old-timer old-timer, but old-timer-y enough for general purposes.

Who Else Am I?

My account names on other sites include acf, ACF, and acfprojects. (The letters 'a', 'c', and 'f' are my initials.) My non-Keen-related homepage is TL-DR.org. I also write some comics (under the title Minimize Original Content) which you can read here.

Who Am I ... in real life?

My name is Alan Faubert. That's all you need to know for the moment, I think. If you want to play Internet Detective, have fun.
