— Under Perpetual Construction —

Hello, I am CK Guy, and welcome to The Bipship! This site is gradually moving towards being the main place to keep my Keen stuff, including modding utilities and other creations. It is and always will be coded by hand in TED Notepad, using the amazingness that is CSS, PHP, and MySQL. Uploading is done with the SFTP-3 protocol using WinSCP. The domain registration and content hosting is through NearlyFreeSpeech.NET, a company that I strongly recommend to anyone wanting a small website that needs to go slightly beyond what the free, ad-supported hosts provide.

Peace, and I hope you enjoy what's here. If you have any comments, please let me know!

Latest News
  • November 18, 2008 — The last couple weeks have seen several as-of-yet unannounced changes. One of these is the new Levelpacks section, which is currently a partial mirror of the levelpacks available from dosclassics.com. Also new is the Upload section, where you can upload any file up to five megabytes. I'm interested to know how well this works for people.
  • November 4, 2008 — New mods section. It's a barebones mirror of The Garg's Mod Maze, in case KeenRush decides to redo his site, and leave us with no mod repository for months. Also: The Archive now contains tons of stuff, most of which you're probably not that interested in.
  • October 31, 2008 — Ka-CHUNK! New Articles section to replace the old tl;dr system. This time we're using a real database instead of a big text file. (Happy Halloween!)
  • October 30, 2008 — I managed to scrounge up MODLATCH 1.1 and its source code from archive.org. You can find it in my archive. The Archive, incidentally, now contains a lot more stuff, notably old versions of my level pack, and all of the official Keen downloads and version patches from spatang/dosclassics and elsewhere.
  • October 29, 2008 — More MySQL! The new Archive section now contains things from the 'old' directory on files.bipship.com, as well as all of the old versions of Ck456Tli. I'm currently looking for the old versions of Mindbelt; I hope they're not lost. Update: Well I've managed to scrounge up some of them anyway. Sadly, the others are almost certainly lost forever.
  • October 28, 2008 — Well! I decided to finally look into the supposed wonders of MySQL. And, several hours later, there is a completely new Keen Collective which uses a MySQL database to store the information about the various versions and the actual download as well. It's not as pretty as the old one yet, but I'll probably fix that eventually.
  • September 28, 2008 — The KC is safe, for now at least. I've filled out the rest of the information about various versions.
  • September 27, 2008 — What to do with the Keen Collective? I don't know.
  • September 25, 2008 — Slightly changed Hack the Bipship.
  • September 24, 2008 — Fixed tl;dr. I'm not exactly sure what the problem was, but it had something to do with text file line endings (which is why the same code worked when I was serving it from my own computer running Windows, but did not work when serving from the remote server running FreeBSD).
  • August 8, 2008 — There have been lots of little updates, but I've been too lazy to mention them. What's new now is the tl;dr Keen Articles section, which has finally been rewritten to be integrated with the rest of the site. It also should be a bit nicer than the old one, and I'm all ready to start giving people accounts so they can submit articles.
  • May 22, 2008 — Updated the new nav bar system. Now stuff is generated automatically from a fancy system of nested arrays.
